Abstract

Authentic  leadership  has  garnered  significant  attention  in  organizational research due to its potential impact on various facets of workplace dynamics. This study explores the influence of authentic leadership specifically on project team dynamics. Drawing upon social exchange theory and leader-member exchange theory, we propose a model to examine the mechanisms through which authentic leadership affects team cohesion, communication patterns, and ultimately project outcomes. We hypothesize that authentic leadership behaviors, characterized by transparency, integrity, and ethical conduct, foster a positive team environment conducive to open communication, trust, and collaboration. Through a mixed-methods approach combining surveys and qualitative interviews, data will be collected from project teams across diverse industries. Statistical analyses will be conducted to test the proposed model, while qualitative insights will provide deeper understanding and context. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to both theoretical understanding and practical implications for organizations aiming to enhance project team effectiveness through leadership interventions.
